These are the terms for using CurioFlow, the website at curioflow.app and the CurioFlow application. They are short because the service is simple. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service — no hard feelings.
Where things stand. CurioFlow is in pre-launch. The application is not yet open to the public. These terms apply to the website now and to the application when it opens; they will be reviewed and re-dated before public launch.
1. What CurioFlow is
CurioFlow is a personal cabinet: a place to keep the movies, books, games, music and other things you love, arrange them the way you want, write what you think of them, and — if you choose — share some of it. It is made and operated by one person.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the application. You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at admin@curioflow.app if you think someone else has used it.
You may close your account at any time by writing to admin@curioflow.app (see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data). We may close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why, unless the law prevents us from saying.
3. What's yours
Your content is yours. The notes, reviews, marks, collections and anything else you write or make in CurioFlow belong to you. You give CurioFlow only the permission it needs to store your content, show it back to you, and show it to the people you choose to share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups, which expire on their own schedule.
If you share something publicly through CurioFlow, you are choosing to let other people see it. Don't share what you don't have the right to share.
4. What's ours, and what's theirs
The CurioFlow name, the design of the service and its software are ours. Please don't copy the service, scrape it, or present it as your own.
The catalogue — titles, posters, covers, artwork and descriptions — comes from public catalogue services (including The Movie Database, AniList, IGDB, RAWG, Open Library, TheSportsDB, Scryfall, TCGdex and PokéAPI) and belongs to those services and to the original rights holders. CurioFlow shows it under their terms and with their attribution. CurioFlow is not endorsed or certified by any of them. If you are a rights holder and believe something is shown that shouldn't be, write to admin@curioflow.app and we will look at it promptly.
5. Using the service well
Use CurioFlow for what it's for. Don't use it to harass anyone, to post material that is illegal or that you have no right to post, to break into or overload the service, or to build a competing catalogue by pulling data out of it. Don't try to work around limits we set. That's the whole list.
6. Free, and changing
CurioFlow is free to use today. If paid features arrive, they will be described clearly before you are asked to pay anything, and these terms will be updated first. Free features may change; we will try not to take away something you rely on without notice.
The service is in active development. Features will appear, change and occasionally disappear. We will tell you about changes that matter.
7. No promises, within reason
CurioFlow is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and to keep your cabinet safe, and we keep backups, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not responsible for loss that results from using it, beyond what the law does not allow us to exclude. Where a limit on liability is permitted, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, today, is nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
8. Privacy
How we handle your information is described in the Privacy Policy. It is part of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. For changes that affect you in a way you would want to know about, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that is your agreement to the new terms.
10. Law and disagreements
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). If we disagree about something, write to admin@curioflow.app first — almost everything can be sorted out in an email. Anything that can't will be handled by the courts of Tainan, Taiwan, unless the law where you live gives you the right to a court closer to home.
